It was the summer of 2023 and I wanted to give up completely. I buried myself in comforting music. Big choruses, big drums, things I can yell along to in the car. I didn't record any original music or write anything new for three months.

Near the end of this time I eased my way back into the studio by covering some songs for no planned release. Being able to experiment freely in my studio like I did in my bedroom as a teenager, with no deadlines, no pressure, it sort of saved me.

Here are three songs I recorded. Three big power pop songs. Three little hymns about the nothing that everything can come from.
